On the afternoon of the 18th, the launch ceremony of the 2024 "Panda Cup" South Korean Youth Perception of China Essay Contest and the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation between the Asia Pacific Communication Center of the China Foreign Languages Bureau and Asia News Group were held at the China Construction Bank Building in Seoul.

Chinese Ambassador to South Korea Xing Haiming, Deputy Director of the China Foreign Languages Bureau Liu Dawei, President of East Asia Culture Center Ro Jae-hun, President of the South Korean Asian News Group Guo Yongji, Director of the Asia Pacific Communication Center of the China Foreign Languages Bureau Chen Wenge, President of the Asia Daily under the Asia News Group Liang Guixuan, Vice President of the Foreign Languages Publishing House Jia Qiuya, Chinese Dean of the Confucius Institute at Shuntianxiang University in South Korea Zhao Hua, General Manager of the Seoul Branch of China Construction Bank Wang Yujie, President of the South Korean China City Friendship Association Quan Qizhi, and Director of the China Tourism Office in Seoul Zhang Ruoyu, as well as more than 50 South Korean youth representatives and Chinese and South Korean media reporters who have won awards in previous competitions, attended the launch ceremony.

Ro Jae-hun stated that youth are the main force of friendly exchanges between South Korea and China, and also the hope for the future of South Korea China relations. The Panda Cup provides a good opportunity for young people from South Korea and China to get to know each other, and we look forward to the competition becoming a bond between the hearts of the two peoples. Finally, he quoted Mr. Lu Xun's words, "Actually, there was no road on the ground. With more people walking, it becomes a road." He called on everyone to not be afraid of storms, firmly believe, and continue to move forward on the path of South Korea China exchanges.
