Three Lines, One Room
"Afternoon in East Asia" evokes a space
where the cultural sensibilities of
Korea, China, and Japan coexist harmoniously,
free from tension or competition.
Within this room, you will find the warmth of ceramics,
the textured grain of wood,
and the delicate traces of ink lingering on paper.
These elements bear the imprints of hands shaped by time and tradition.
In every bowl, table, or brushstroke, there lies a testament to each region’s way of life—crafted through its enduring dialogue with objects.
“Three Lines, One Room” embodies a structure
where the artistic languages of Korea, China,
and Japan converge in a single space.
They do not seek to interpret or define one another; they simply exist in parallel.
The exhibition begins with works by Korean artists,
gently unfolding the shared narrative that binds these cultures.
When the artworks—bathed in natural light
and framed by the view
beyond the window—intersect,
they transcend the physical room
and resonate with the broader tapestry of life.
What rests here nowspeaks softly,
avoids the urge to dominate,
and chooses instead to coexist.
In this quiet space,
the afternoon of three nations lingers.
